The LEGO Enterprise History

The PROFANO company was established in 1932 by Danish resident Ole Kirk Christiansen, with the purpose of promoting imaginative play and ingenuity in children. Initially, the company’s products were made out of wooden obstructs, but by the 1960s, production got expanded and the business produced toys made of plastic-type material. Although the items and designs improved over the years, that they remained compatible and could always be combined to create new styles.

In the 1972s, LEGO began to expand all their business foreign. In Canada, the company proven a product sales company and began reselling toys in Portugal and Swiss. In the eighties, the company widened into the U. S. and established a manufacturing facility in Connecticut. This company also developed new team, Dacta, to focus on educational items. The Dacta line, for instance , features math and logic challenges and includes educational toys just for schools.

Following World War II, Christiansen purchased the first plastic-type material injection molding machine in Denmark and began tinkering with the process. He eventually produced the iconic LEGO foundations. These hindrances are easily famous by their spherical studs above. These buttons allow connecting blocks being locked mutually. Simply by 1951, half of LEGO’s creation was made of plastic. The business also much better its creation technology to generate plastic stones that would keep going longer.

Today, the LEGO Company seems to have expanded outside of its engineering toy path to a wide range of other products. It has branched away into robotics, media, and educational products with respect to preschools and kindergartens. It also operates two theme park systems in Denmark. The first opened in Bil-lund, Denmark, in 1968, and a second is certainly scheduled to open in Carlsbad, California in 1999.
